Author Audra Avery
Audra Avery is a southern bound, New England born writer from the mountains. Her passion for storytelling began at the age of four. After watching countless Disney movies as a child, she began creating her own imaginative stories.
Her first screenplay, a sitcom pilot called Paul’s Diary, placed in the 2011 Hollywood Screenplay Contest as an official finalist. From there she tried her hand at writing short screenplays and was able to nab another finalist title in the 2013 Canadian Short Screenplay Contest for her dark comedy short, And the Dead Body Makes Five. For a third time, she received the official finalist award for her drama feature, Ambush Love, in the 2015 Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest.
Eventually, she discovered her truest love – children’s books. Writing children’s books has given her the greatest joy in knowing her words may help children discover their love for reading.
